The person who comes up with the most creative name, will be awarded with the first article to appear in the book.</p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What is Tips and Tricks about? What type of info will be in the book?</span></strong></em></p><p>Put simply, we are compiling the best advice from surveyors around the world. </p><p>-We would like information about surveying tips and tricks, short cuts, inventions and practical advice for the field and office. </p><p>-We are looking for tips and tricks not taught at surveying school .</p><p>-We are looking for information that you can't always find in a text book. </p><p>-We would like it written in easy to understand surveying language.</p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Examples of information needed.</span></strong></em></p><p>- How to use a sledge hammer, axe, brush hook.</p><p>- How to setup a tripod, tribrach.</p><p>- How to hit in a peg</p><p>-How to calibrate your instruments</p><p>Now, these are the very basic ideas. We are searching for anything surveying related.</p><p>We also have interesting inventions, short cuts and time saving ideas that we'll include in the book.</p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">How do I get involved?</span></strong></em> </p><p>Register your interest by emailing Scott at <a href="mailto:scotttaylorsurveying@gmail.com">scotttaylorsurveying@gmail.com</a>. Be sure to include your name, country and subject line TIPS AND TRICKS.</p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What time frame do we have?</span></strong></em> </p><p>The deadline for stories from this book is November 15th 09.</p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What format is the e-book?</span></strong></em> </p><p>The final e-book document will be a PDF however we would like your submission in microsoft word .doc > 2003. </p><p><em><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>What limit do we have for stories?</strong></span></em> </p><p>There is no limit to the amount of stories, tips or tricks that you can provide. We welcome as many as possible. We would however like to restrict each story to 1 -2 A4 pages. </p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Can I submit photos?</span></strong></em> </p><p>Yes you can include photos in the book. Please try to keep the file size as low as possible.</p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">What do I get for submitting my info?</span></strong></em> </p><p>As a contributor to the book, we will allow you to include your name, address, business, product, website, email etc at the end of the article. This will help promote you and your business.</p><p><em><strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">Can I sell the e-book?</span></strong></em> </p><p>All contributors will have the opportunity to sell copies of the ebook on their own websites or freely distribute them as they wish.
